What belongs in a scoping note before we start
The five items we lock with you before a paid Macroeconomic Indicator Impact Review begins.
Before fees are due, we send a short scoping note. It is not a contract substitute; it is a clarity tool. These five items almost always appear:
- Primary indicator and geography — one print, named precisely.
- Market sleeve — indices, curves, or currency pairs actually in play.
- Decision deadline — when your team must act or stand down.
- Excluded channels — what we will not cover, so the brief stays honest.
- Sources — public sets we will use and any client files you will supply.
If any of those five stay vague, the review drifts into generic commentary. We would rather delay kickoff by a day than deliver a document that could sit on anyone’s desk unchanged.
